Yes , you can open an online banking facility from home if you are a bank customer. The banking sector of India is growing very fast in technological aspects. Indian Government has given more focus on digital India and cashless economy. To achieve this goal Indian Banks have updated their technology to meet the Government aspiration and to be more competitive world class Banking.
What is Online Baking ?

How to register for online Banking ( Net Banking) of any Bank for personal Banking?
For internet Banking facilities first go to the Bank’s website than to the e-banking section. Here you will see the tab in the name of Internet Banking. One you click on the Internet Banking Tab you will show the Personal Banking and Corporate Banking Tab.click on Internet Bank Personal .Once you click on Internet Banking personal the interface will be open.
Below the login tab, you need to click on the Online Registration (Retail Customer) link.you will be asked to enter your Customer ID (CIF), Mobile No, EmailID and the verification captac of the screen. Once you submit the same you will be asked to register online through OTP verification or through ATM details. You can opt any option as per your convenience.
Once you are done with the registration process you will be asked to create your long password and authorization password. Please make sure you create a password which should be unique and contains alpha numerics and special characters. Minimum length of the password should be 8 characters.
Your customer ID will be your user ID. In some Banks system can ask you to create your own user ID. You can create your user ID as per your convenience. Never share your user ID and Password with any one.
What are the benefits and features of Net Banking?
There are many features of Net Banking. Some are financial transactions: You can do the fund transfer into your own accounts or to other accounts .IMPS and NEFT are available round the clock for doing transactions. You can also schedule your transaction for a definite time. You can pay taxes , your utility bills, and apply for an IPO in the ASBA option. There are many more banking services available in Net Banking.
How to register in Baking APPs?
Go to the Google play store, type the name of the Bank. All the Apps of that particular Bank will appear. You can download the apps which you want to keep on your mobile. Ensure that the number which is registered in your account is in your phone. Once the app is installed, open the app and tap on regiset . The app will ask to send a message for verification of your number. You will get an auto readable OTP and your number will be verified. Then you need to enter your TAM card details like Last six digit of your ATM card, CVV No and ATM PIN. Once you enter the details click on go then it will ask for an MPIN( this PIN is used for login into the App) and TPIN ( This PIN is used for verification of any transaction).
Once you have done the process you will be registered in the app and now you can do the financial transaction and use other facilities like opening of a deposit account i,e, Fixed deposit & Recurring deposit. You can open the deposit account as per your convenience as the app will show the interest rates for different periods. Transferring money can be done through IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, Bill payment, Utility Payment i.e. life insurance premium payment, Stop payment of cheques, pay bills, apply for new debit card, You can also avail the service like apply for the duplicate Card, apply for credit card, apply for cheque book, generate duplicate ATM PIN and many more.
How to register for UPI ( BHIM) or Paytm, PhonePay, Google Pay Amazon Pay etc?
You can also use these apps for doing your transitions through UPI. Through UPI you can pay directly from your UPI linekd Bank account to any other Bank account by entering the UPI No, or Account and IFSC code or by scanning QR codes.
Download the APP of your choice from google play store. Once the App is installed , open the app. It will ask for the mobile number. Enter the mobile number which is registered in your Bank account. You will receive an OTP after verification you will be asked to create a login PIN. Once you create the login PIN or Password you will be able to login the App.
Now there are two things to ensure. If you want to use the App wallet for Transaction or wish to transfer the amount received in your app wallet you need to verify your KYC with the App. In some Apps they will ask to upload you PAn or Adhar Card and in some apps you need to visit the nearest customer service point.
Once the account is selected, you will be asked to enter the last six digits of your ATM card, CVV number and ATM PIN. Once you enter the details it will ask you to create a 6 digit UPI PIN. Once you set your PIN now your account and APP is linked with the UPI.
Your UPI ID will be your 10 digit mobile number and the app code. For example if you register UPI with PayTM your paytm UPI ID will be **********@paytm or for PayTM your UPI ID will be of **********@ybl.
Once you reset the UPI PIN it will be the same in every app.
All the Banks offered the above facilities without any charge.
What is SMS Banking and How to register for it?
Friends if you are not having Smart Phone and you want to transfer money from your Bank to any other Bank account , recharge your mobile number by debiting your bank account any many more Banking , then you need to use SMS banking facility. Yes it is sure that there is some limitation of transaction through SMS banking but it is convenient in many ways.All the Banks offer this facility with minimum charges.
For availing this facility , you need to apply for SMS banking registration in your Bank Branch.Once your number is registered in the Bank system, you will receive a four digits PIN. Do not share this PIN with any one. With the PIN you will also get the instruction to activate the SMS banking and mobiles numbers on which you need to send structured SMS for doing the transaction.
You can get the format of the structured message by sending the HELP message to the numbers provided in the received SMS by you. The maximum transaction amount through SMS banking is Rs.5000/- per day.
